Last updated: March 8, 2026

Jottler ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Jottler platform at jottler.co. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you choose to provide (such as your full name and avatar). Authentication is handled securely through our backend infrastructure.

1.2 Site & Content Data

To provide our service, we collect the website URLs you submit, sitemap data, page content retrieved via crawling, and the articles and topics generated by our platform. This includes any site configuration you provide such as target audience, language preferences, CTA settings, and CMS credentials (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, DropInBlog, or Framer — stored encrypted).

1.3 Usage Data

We automatically collect usage information including pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address. This data helps us improve the platform and diagnose issues.

1.4 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. We receive and store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your billing.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To generate AI-powered SEO content based on your site data
  • To analyze your website structure and suggest topics
  • To process subscription payments and manage your account
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets)
  • To monitor platform performance and prevent abuse

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • AI Model Providers — we send your site data and topic information to AI language model providers to generate content. Content prompts may include your site URL, audience description, and topic titles. We do not send your personal account information to AI providers.
  • Firecrawl — website crawling and content extraction for site analysis.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and generated content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and generated content within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (e.g., billing history for tax purposes).

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage for sensitive credentials, and row-level security policies on all database tables to ensure users can only access their own data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
