These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Jottler platform operated at jottler.co ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Service Description
Jottler is an AI-powered SEO content platform that analyzes your website, generates topic taxonomies, researches and writes long-form articles, and optionally publishes them to your connected CMS. The Service operates on a subscription basis with different plan tiers offering varying article limits and features.
2. Account Registration
You must provide a valid email address and create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
3.1 Plans
The Service offers subscription plans (including Starter, Growth, and Scale tiers) with defined article limits and feature sets. Plan details and pricing are displayed on the platform and may be updated from time to time with reasonable notice.
3.2 Payment
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your chosen plan. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
3.3 Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the platform settings or customer portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods. Refunds for the current period may be granted at our sole discretion.
4. Content Ownership
4.1 Your Content
You retain full ownership of all articles and content generated by Jottler for your account. You may use, publish, modify, and distribute this content without restriction. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your site data and generated content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
4.2 Your Site Data
You represent that you have the right to submit the website URLs and data you provide to the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Circumvent usage limits, authentication mechanisms, or security measures
- Use automated means to access the Service beyond the intended API and interface
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
- Submit malicious URLs, code, or data designed to compromise the Service
6. AI-Generated Content
Content generated by Jottler is produced using artificial intelligence and may not always be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before publishing. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors, plagiarism, or factual inaccuracies. You agree to review and verify all content before use, particularly for regulated industries or sensitive topics.
7. CMS Integration
If you connect a CMS (WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, DropInBlog, or Framer), you authorize Jottler to publish content on your behalf using the credentials or API tokens you provide. You are solely responsible for the content published to your site and its compliance with applicable laws and your hosting provider's terms. CMS credentials and API tokens are stored encrypted and used only for publishing purposes.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service with reasonable notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jottler and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, achieve any particular SEO results, or that generated content will be error-free.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jottler and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration.
